August 2024 Newsletter – Our World Needs Hope
It has been quite a month for us. Over the last 30 days, we have missed more Sundays because of sickness than in our 38 years of ministry combined. To quote Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings, we feel like “butter spread across too much bread.” But the Holy Spirit has been with us every step of the way, and God is still good even when life is hard.
Two days before the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, the Holy Spirit spoke to Pastor Bob, “Bob, my people need to hope again. They have let the evil and negativity of this age overshadow their hope. My people need to reestablish their anchor of hope in the raging storm of evil and deception in America right now. I want you to take an extended period and speak about hope from stories of hope in my word.” So that is what we are going to do.
On Sunday, August 4th, we will begin a new series, “Hope Again.” It will focus on restoring Hope through inspiring stories of God’s faithfulness. If you are struggling to find hope, make sure to join us. If you know someone who has lost hope, invite them to join us.

Hope Again Series – begins August 4th
Franklin Park Elementary Uniform Drive
We are partnering with Franklin Park to help provide financial support for purchasing uniforms for families struggling under the financial weight of inflation. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase 60 uniform sets for students in need. Each set will cost approximately $35 per child (totaling $2,100). We will be accepting donations until August 30, 2024.
Donations can be made by visiting www.bridgecc.church/fpe, or cash/check donations can be made by dropping a marked envelope in the offering boxes at the church.
Back to School Sunday
We have a very special event coming up that you won’t want to miss. Join us on August 11th for Back To School Sunday! This is an important time where we will come together to pray over all our students, teachers, and schools as they prepare to head back for the new school year.
We hope that all students and parents can be there for this meaningful moment of blessing and encouragement. Let’s support our young learners and educators with our prayers and presence. Mark your calendars for August 11th and be a part of this special service. We look forward to seeing you there!
